Salt Trails is a collaboration that originated in the desire to create work for Salthouse, through relationship with place and people. The aim of Salt Trails is to create a highly flexible dialogue about the encroaching salt sea on the coastline at Salthouse.

We are inviting artists, environmentalists, local people and ecologists to come together for a series of walking conversations along this part of the coast.

We are offering a framework for discussion that is grounded in an active relationship with the landscape, in the activities of walking and ephemeral art and alive to the environmental effects of the source, process and use of materials.

There will be four walking conversations over two weekends. To encourage an exchange of skills and information each walk will represent a wide range of interests – e.g. artists, local people and those who have specialist skills and knowledge of the area.
